Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy in New York | GLO Within Services
Two Pathways. One Individualized Approach.
Because healing should fit the person, not the protocol.
There isn't one “right” way to experience ketamine-assisted therapy.
Some clients are looking for a deeper, immersive medicine experience supported by their therapist. Others prefer a gentler, lower-dose approach that can be incorporated into ongoing psychotherapy over time.
GLO Within Services partners with both Journey Clinical and Joyous to offer two distinct pathways to ketamine-assisted therapy.
Together, we can explore which approach may better align with your therapeutic goals, comfort level, clinical needs, and budget. Medical eligibility and prescribing decisions are determined independently by the respective medical provider.
PATH 01 | Journey Clinical
Immersive Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy
A more immersive KAP experience with dedicated therapist support.
This pathway may be a good fit for someone who wants to intentionally step away from ordinary talk therapy for a longer medicine session and explore emotions, patterns, memories, body sensations, or internal experiences within a supported therapeutic container.
Your experience may include:
Preparation
We establish your intentions, boundaries, grounding resources, and individualized support plan before the medicine session.
Medicine Session
Reserve approximately 3 hours. You self-administer ketamine prescribed by your Journey Clinical medical provider while I remain present to provide therapeutic support throughout the experience.
Integration
We reconnect to explore what emerged and how the experience may relate to your ongoing therapeutic work.
The experience:
Higher-dose • More immersive • Dedicated medicine session • Preparation + integration • Therapist present during journey
What does it cost?
There are two separate costs with this pathway:
GLO Within Services
Your psychotherapy services, including KAP intake, preparation, therapist-supported medicine sessions, and integration.
Insurance may be used for eligible psychotherapy services depending on your individual benefits. Because the medicine session is approximately three hours, insurance may not cover the entire extended session and a private-pay portion may apply.
Journey Clinical
Journey Clinical bills separately for medical evaluation, prescribing, ketamine, and ongoing medical management.
Journey Clinical currently offers both insurance and private-pay pathways for eligible medical services, with actual patient responsibility depending on insurance, deductibles, copays, and the treatment plan.

PATH 02 | Joyous
Lower-Dose Psycholytic Ketamine + Psychotherapy
A gentler approach designed to work alongside ongoing therapy.
Not everyone wants or needs an immersive psychedelic experience.
The Joyous pathway uses very-low-dose ketamine prescribed through Joyous, with treatment occurring at home. At lower doses, the experience is intended to allow greater orientation and engagement, making it possible to incorporate the medicine into therapeutic exploration differently than a traditional higher-dose KAP journey. Joyous describes its model as very-low-dose or “microdose” ketamine treatment.
With GLO Within, psychotherapy can provide a space to intentionally explore what you're noticing emotionally, cognitively, and within your body as treatment unfolds.
The experience:
Lower-dose • Gradual • At-home medical treatment • Greater conversational engagement • Ongoing psychotherapy + integration
What does it cost?
Joyous Medical Treatment
Plans currently start at $129/month.
Joyous also currently describes a $159/month flexible option without a three-month commitment. Its $129 option carries a three-month commitment before becoming month-to-month.
The subscription includes:
Monthly ketamine medication and shipping
Personalized dosing/treatment plan
Provider appointments
Daily and weekly monitoring
Care-team support
Patient resources and therapeutic exercises
Joyous currently states that its ketamine treatment and consultations are not covered by insurance, although HSA/FSA funds are accepted.
GLO Within Psychotherapy
Your psychotherapy with me is separate from the Joyous subscription. Eligible psychotherapy sessions may be billed to your insurance when covered by your individual plan, or provided at the applicable private-pay rate.

You Don't Have to Choose Before Reaching Out.
You may already know which approach feels more comfortable.
You may be curious about ketamine but have absolutely no idea which path makes sense.
That's okay.
Our consultation is an opportunity to talk about what you're hoping to change, where therapy may feel stuck, what kind of experience feels accessible to you, and what questions or concerns you have about ketamine.
From there, we can explore which pathway may be worth considering. The prescribing medical provider ultimately determines medical eligibility and the appropriate medication plan.
FAQ
I currently accept Aetna, United Healthcare, Oxford, Oscar, Cigna, Aetna Medicare Advantage, Humana Medicare Advantage, United Healthcare Medicare Advantage, Quest Behavioral Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield NY through Headway. Outside of Headway, I am in-network provider with Fidelis, Healthfirst, Carelon, MetroPlus, CDPHP, Medicaid, Medicare, Tricare and 1199 SEIU.
For all other insurances in New York, I am an out-of-network provider.
In-network means we are participating providers in certain insurance plans.
For example, if you want to work with me, I am in network with these plans (Aetna, Cigna United Healthcare, Oxford, Oscar, and BCBS). But if you have MVP Insurance, for instance, I am considered an out-of-network provider to you, since I have no partnership with that insurance plan.
Whether you have an in-network insurance or out-of-network benefits you’d like to redeem, I'll help you understand what it all means.
A superbill is a document that includes information about our sessions to send to your out-of-network insurance provider for reimbursement at the end of each month. From there, your insurance directly send you a reimbursement for the amount your insurance covers. I do not provide superbills because I use Thrizer.
Thrizer is a third-party billing platform that makes it easier for you to access and submit claims for out-of-network benefits.
If you choose to use Thrizer, after each session, we’ll inform Thrizer that we met for our session. Thrizer will then submit the claim for our session directly to your insurance carrier for out-of-network reimbursement. After the claim processes, they will provide a 50-80% reimbursement directly to your bank account once you’ve met your deductible.
Yes. I understand that certain events may come up unexpectedly. However, this time is reserved for you and hard to fill last-minute without notice. If you do not cancel your session within 24 hours there will be a $90 cancellation/no-show fee.
